Bad books by good authors: Linda Howard

All That Glitters. OMG, one of the worst books ever. Ever! E-VER! The hero, Nikolas, a Greek maniac, was an abusive asshole so cruel you’d think he was the villain of the story. He’s the alpha male gone wrong. “Me, Neanderthal, you, cave-wife-chained-to-stone” sort of ape.

On the other hand, the heroine (oh gad, what’s the nitwit’s name?) was a spineless idiot who annoyingly kept herself down, no self-respect at all. Frankly, I would have preferred to see her drown when she fell off some cliff and got pinned by heavy rocks. Oh, *sigh* that would have been poetic at least.

Sarah’s Child. I hated this book, argg, loathsome piece of crap! Rome was married to Sarah’s best friend. Sarah was secretly nutty about him. Then wife and children die, I can’t really remember how; but I do remember him marrying Sarah afterwards since, apparently, he was lusting after her too all those years. Yes, while still married to beloved perfect first wife.

Anyway, when she got preggy, he ordered her to get an abortion. Why, you ask? Because he REFUSES to replace his dead sons. Uh-huh... Ah, what a “hero.” If all men were as “devoted” as Rome was, humanity would cease to exist. Bastard.

Sarah's Childl is the worst book written by beloved author Linda Howard. Can't understand why people like this book. The hero refuses to be involved w/ heroine's pregnancy in anyway. Well except for the conception. What an asshole. And Sarah should be on waiting list for those in need of a spine. They deserve each other. Gosh I feel so much better now...
