Book Selection of the Month (April '07) (This time it's for real!)
I wish this announcement could be bitchier but I can’t concentrate while trying not to get eaten by a bloody dog (long story *sniff*). So let’s get straight to the point: No, our book selection for April is NOT Outlander (ARE YOU CRAZY???); it’s Persuasion by Jane Austen!
For guide questions and more helpful info, click here. Discussion will start on April 30. I hope you guys will read and then PARTICIPATE. *grrr* It’s Austen, the literary goddess herself, for crying out loud—have some fucking respect!

Well, at least it is shorter. Is cliffnotes or a movie available for this? Apparently, I am allergic to literary books.
Even a goddess herself must put in some handsome face so I can be encourage to read the damned book...err, classic book.
Is there sex in this book?

Ooh, I just finished Pride and Prejudice for the first time, and I cannot tell you how much I loved this book. I was a bit skeptical at first, but then after a few chapters, Loved It!.
I hope all is well with our bitches. Sending positive thoughts your way....without any questions. I just hope you are both okay.

I'm actually disappointed we're not discussing Outlander. LOL. That doesn't mean I'm not looking forward to reading Persuasion (I have never read it). Take care Trollop.

I'm not into reading literary classics. I've only read some and only liked a few of them. But since this is Austen, and it's not that long, I guess I should read. Take care Trollop. *hugs*

Good choice. It's been a long time since I read this book. I do think it's better than Pride and Prejudice. :)

I seem to be having trouble with the language. I read 5 pages and realized I didn't comprehend a damn bit of it.
Maybe there are cliff notes in American English that I can read... lol
