Bitchin' News (11/30)

  • My absolute favorite rock band, The Rolling Stones, will take a brief break from touring to perform at the Super Bowl halftime show. The rock ‘n’ roll greats will go on stage during the game Feb. 5 at Ford Field.
  • Gregory Peck’s star has gone missing, believed stolen, from the Hollywood Walk of Fame by someone in possession of a cement saw and apparently “very good taste.”
  • The divorce tale The Squid and the Whale leads contenders for the Independent Spirit Awards with six nominations.
  • American Idol fans can look forward to at least five more seasons of the popular talent show. A monetary out-of-court settlement, details of which were fiercely guarded, took care of the feud between Fuller and Cowell, paving the way for the latter to stay on the immensely popular show.
  • Highest-paid actresses list. Number 1 for the second straight year is the always gorgeous, Julia Roberts, who is looking even better after recently giving birth to twins!
  • Real estate tycoon Donald Trump will be back on NBC next year for a sixth edition of his corporate-themed reality show The Apprentice, but he’s moving the boardroom competition from Manhattan to Hollywood.
