I must admit, I wanted France to win being a gooner and seeing Italy cheat every four years but last night I have to say they deserved it.

I think France did play better, but that's soccer. Your goalie gets some good saves, and shazam. Your still in it. A lot of luck plays in soccer. But man, Zidane headbutting some dude... Holy freakin hell! What was that about?

Losing the World Cup was bad enough for the French fans. Their star losing his temper, oh man, that's just shameful.

Oh wow. I think both teams played amazingly. It all came down to penalty kicks. Great game!

The BF loves the game and cheered for the French (who according to him should have won the world cup). He said that Zidane dude is a great, patient player. The Italian guy might have said something very nasty that caused that head butt.. Still, a barbaric move. :/

I knew Italy was going to win as soon as they beat Australia...
Not that I am being patriotic or anything, but the Australians should have won.
Don't know what I'm going to be watching now to get my eye candy fix!!

I hate the 2006 world cup. To end like that, oh god. France dominated most of that game and it's very unfortunate to lose because of penalty kicks and without Zidane. And Trezeguet missing by less than an inch sucks!

Hello, here the italian girl again.^^
Sorry to ruin the fantasy about the sex with the groopies thing (XD); but the majority of them was followed by his wife/fianceè/girlfriend (in some cases, even children ... Cannavaro went to sleep with the World Cup and one of his children), and the ones who dind't have either were probably not allowed to go far from the team or the cheering.^^
That said, usually the 'groopies' in Italy are semi-famous gorgeous chicks. It's kind of easy for a soccer player to get to know one of them, so there is usually little space for unknown girls (at least, in the eyes of a soccer player who is just trying to have some fun and not to get settled) Yes, they are a little snobbish (especially the popular ones).
