I feel the need, the need for speed**
Ladies, I am really sorry I have to bump Fantasy Boy down a post—especially so soon, but I just found out about this (a VERY late find btw LOL). And since I love me some HOT sportsmen, I thought I’d share my “news” with the other three romance readers in the world that have yet to find out (hopefully one of you reads TBB).
Because I am not a Harlequin reader (I think the only HQNs I’ve read are the ones in Brenda Joyce’s “Deadly” series, published by MIRA) it’s quite understandable that I didn’t know about the existence of In the Groove—which has gotten pretty good reviews in Amazon and which I’m going to buy ASAP. I love HOT men, I love auto racing and I love romance novels. In my mind no matter how bad an author is, she can’t actually take such an interesting combination and make it bad,*** right? RIGHT? So, yes, I am definitely going to buy this whole series.
Harlequin plans to release several NASCAR-related romance novels, with the next expected in September. The demographics made this deal an easy one for Harlequin—NASCAR claims 75 million fans, including 30 million (40 percent) women.
Now, to get all of you non-auto racing fans interested in both the sport and the books, here are some pics of my favorite boys (including: NASCAR and Formula One). *wink*

NASCAR has invaded grocery stores, fancy watch companies, the cologne industry and now this: Harlequin romance fiction specifically written for women. Harlequin is publishing a variety of women’s fiction that will be included in what is called the “NASCAR Library Collection.” The debut title, released in late January, is In the Groove by Pamela Britton.

Trollop, I've never heard of this scoop, so thanks! :D
I have read a Pamela Britton book, SCANDAL (historical) and I liked that one. I think I'm going to buy In the Groove too.

Iz,
I read Scandal too. Nothing to write home about but it was ok.
I have In the Groove in my tbr pile because once, while DH and I were out running some errands, he went off on his own (as men usually do) and when he got back gave it to me. Really nice surprise, as he's always saying I spend too much $ on books, but since he loves NASCAR I suppose THAT was ok jajajs
Will start reading it later today and let you guys know what I think :-)

A few years ago I read a series about 3 sisters who work in varies 'sex education' fields. Anyway, two of them hooked up with Nascar drivers. Can someone PLEASE help me with the name of this author. I swear I thought her last name was Skye but I don't think that's right.
But the books were very hot so I'd rec them if I knew the title and authur, lol.
I'm with you guys I love athletes. Yum!

I am not sure weather to LMAO or throw my hands up in the air!
I am not sure about nascar books. I get this creepy feeling a lot of "Southern" girls are reading these and saying "ya'll gotta come check these out. This dude looks just like Jeff Gordon... he is HOT!"
SO! You read them first and let me know! Thanks!
(I have to admit the idea is kinda hot though so who knows! LOL)

LMAO, I was way off with 'skye'.
The author is Kimberly Raye. The series I read included these 3:
Kiss Me Once, Kiss Me Twice
Sometimes Naughty, Sometimes Nice
Sweet as Sugar, Hot as Spice
The first and third are with drivers.

David is my fav too. He's all rugged looking, sexy, scruffy.
VT, read the first on, see if you like it. I mean don't compare it to your top read but it's fun/sexy/light.

Trollop, those men are hot. ;)
The BF loves NASCAR/Formula One and follows it religiously. I honestly don't know anything about it and have never even seen any of the competition or whatever you call those races.

Out of that 3, I only know of Jeff Gordon.
I wonder how much this deal cost? I mean it's good that NASCAR is trying to reach out to the womenfolk through Harlequin, but really, would these books really encourage readers to watch their races? There must be a lot of mention about NASCAR throughout the series. Great deal for Harlequin though, and let me know if they're good. :)

Yes, how much did they pay?
I think this is a great for Harlequin. For NASCAR, Trollop's right. Books have a way of making readers curious enough to look/search for things that are involved in the story. Especially something as big as NASCAR.

Izzie and Lola, I've read Pamela Britton too. I think you're talking about her trilogy - Seduced, Tempted, Scandal. For me I loved Suduced. You should try it ladies.
Anyway, I've never heard of her NASCAR books. Might give it a try. Or for those who will, let me know what you think. :D

Sorry to say but I am DEAD set against Jeff Gordon. One...he cheated on his wife. DID ANYONE SEE HIS WIFE?? I'd give my right arm for her and I'M STRAIGHT...mostly :). That and the fact that he is a weasle dink bastard. Haha...maybe I should justify this position. For years he got by on his partner, Jimmy Johnson. I really don't think the guy could have won a race if it wasn't for Jimmy blocking for him all the time. That and the voice. The guy just...oh he sounds so whiney and nasaly. Who wants Kermit whispering sweet nothings in their ear...haha..sorry about all this. Thanks for the vent. This is my opinion only...if you have a thing for him, he's all yours ;)
~hehe

HHSS- I SO agree with you about JG! He is an ASS! He is good looking but his personality totally turns me off, he thinks he is God's gift to the world... and he ain't! He is NOT a nice man at all!

Vix and Italian girl (welcome back!) should I get this series?'
Here the italian girl^^
Hmm ... it's nothing extraordinary, but I found it funny. There is even the story of the mother and the grandmother (the last one just in one book) XD
As a sport, I'm more interested in soccer. There are some interesting guys there too ...

Aggie,
I'm very selfish LOL. I NEVER share, esp not my men. Ahem. And though i'm tiny and not very strong, i'll karate you to death if i have to, i will!!!
Hehe and Dakota,
I don't watch NASCAR or Formula One. Seriously, i watch a lot of sports (even those i don't understand, you know, just to stare at gorgeous yummy sportsmen :P), but the only sport i really enjoy watching is ice hockey. I. LOVE. HOCKEY. It's the only sport i watch not because of the players LOL but because of the game itself. Go figure. Everything about it, the way the players' skate, so graceful yet forceful ans strong, even the fights i love! LOL
Hey T-girl! :D
Love your presence here. :) Anyway, Giancarlo's married to Ashley Judd?? Oh my, yes, she is BEAUTIFUL.
Italian girl,
So that's what we're calling you now? No more Anon? Yay! :D Please don't be shy, or afraid of evil woman Trollop. Hope you post often!
About soccer, not a fan LOL. But soccer players or footballer (whatever you want to call them), now THEM i'm a HUUUUGE fan of. ;)

Hot, sexy golfers, do they exist?
Last weekend I saw a brief pic of a goodlooking golfer on the PGA Tour but I didn't ask DH who he was *slapping hand on forehead*.
Anyone know if there are any sexy golfers? I'm reading a romance with a pro golfer and he's quite sexy. Wondered if there are any out there beside the random one I saw.
