A bit of everything

I have decided to stay an extra year in Spain. I know I always say “I’ll never study again” but I think, after years of studying, I might have found what I want to work in for the rest of my life. Kind of a relief that, since I’ve been in school for almost a decade with no real idea of where I wanted to go or what I really wanted to do. I’ll be taking my trollopy ass to Barcelona on July 22nd where I’ll start a master in Political Marketing and Communication; sad, disconcerting and exciting at the same time. Will miss my wonderful BF and my family terribly, but I think the sacrifice will be worth it in the end. So now you know, ladies, if you ever need someone to run a political campaign for you, I’m your Trollop LOL.

I am going to the EuroPride 2007 parade today! How cool is that?!? I went to Chueca, Thursday, for the start of the gay pride weekend and it was so much fun; had a blast. This afternoon, I’m going to march from La Puerta de Alcala to Plaza España, and then staying for the concert and going around Chueca to see what’s moving there. Pics of my gay night tomorrow!

I’m so poor I had a friend from school cut my hair. I am extremely anal about my hair; I spend so much money on it I’ll never be able to afford having children. In D.R. I paid around 80 dollars every 4-6 weeks to get it trimmed; I went to the salon 2-3 times a week to get it washed, deep conditioned and dried—and you don’t even want to know how much I spend on highlights a year LOL. Now I look like a cheap rocker from the 80’s. *sniff* I HATE BEING POOR. This is Harlot’s fault anyway. She told me she cuts her own hair—and it looks great—so I should go ahead and let my friend cut it. Evil bitch!

Will wait until I get to Barcelona so it has time to grow enough to get it fixed, but I have so many things to do this week. Yesterday, I was meeting with the Mexican President in a very small (50 people) reunion and I was so depressed over my hair I didn’t go. Tomorrow, I’m meeting Ex-First Lady (former boss) of the D.R. and the presidential candidate for my party in an event here in Madrid. Tuesday, I have thesis dissertation, and next week is my graduation—where the Vice-Prez of Spain is the one giving us our diplomas—and then to lunch with a bunch of important Spanish politicians. And I’ll be doing all this in a bun when my hair used to be so pretty! *sob*

Last, I want to tell you guys how much fun I had in Brussels at the beginning of this month. We got to go to the Euro Parliment and talk to so many congressmen, go to luncheons, walk around the city and, on our day off, hop to Bruges—which is just about the cutest city ever! One of the few times in my life when I’ve been able to both have tons of fun and learn a lot!

Click here for some pics. *g*

Do not blame me for you hair! *hmph* It's not my fault you asked some stupid classmate--who don't know how to use scissors!--to give you a haircut!

But really, babe, it doesn't look that bad. Just, dunno, itsy bitsy hacked..? :/

Trollop, looks like you've been having a blast. Whatever it is you decide to do in your life, I'm pretty sure you'll be successful in it. You have already achieved so much, at such a young age, too. Your family and your boyfriend must be very proud of you. Good luck and have fun. :)

Trollop, me and my friends would have liked to go to the Europride Parade but we had no money. You're not the only poor one. Let us know if you saw any famous people. Good luck!

Tks for all the well wishes everyone :D

Gatxan, thank you so much :D I'll have to learn catalan before I start school in november. Someone told me that at la UAB I can take free courses? Dunno, will look into it. Hope its not too hard, I can understand a lot of it when reading, but its harder when someone's speaking to me and lets not even mention me talking back LOL

Serendipity,

Yes, actually loving politics :D Well, at least my masters. I've decided being a political figure doesn't suit my personality though. I can't keep my mouth shut for the life of me LOL So I've chosen to be behind the scenes which I think suits me best! :D Cross your fingers for me.
